by Julian Templeman, Further Exploration Of C Templates And Metaprogramming Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Further Exploration Of C Templates And Metaprogramming books, "Designed for intermediate level C++ programmers, this course focuses on the advanced features and techniques made possible by the release of C++11 and C++14. It introduces several new Standard Library types, and investigates type aliases and static assertions, two features that make it easy to work with templates. You will also explore variadic templates, which allow developers to write type-safe functions and classes that take variable numbers and types of arguments. The course wraps up by examining template metaprogramming, an expert technique that generates code at compile time, produces extremely efficient code with no run-time overhead, and is widely used in modern C++ libraries."--Resource description page.

by Julian Templeman, Diving Deeper Into C Templates Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Diving Deeper Into C Templates books, "Templates form the foundation of modern C++ programming; they must be understood, not only to use the Standard Library, but to take advantage of many of the features found in C++11 and C++14. By offering a detailed look at how to create and use template functions and classes in your C++ code, this course goes beyond the basics, and is intended for the intermediate level programmer. Topics covered include: non-type and default parameters, overloading and specialization, the use of template parameters, explicit instantiation and inheritance, generic programming, type traits, and policy-based design. Learners completing this course will have the knowledge required to produce robust, practical, and modern C++ code."--Resource description page.
by Jeroen Arnoldus, Code Generation With Templates Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Code Generation With Templates books, Templates are used to generate all kinds of text, including computer code. The last decade, the use of templates gained a lot of popularity due to the increase of dynamic web applications. Templates are a tool for programmers, and implementations of template engines are most times based on practical experience rather than based on a theoretical background. This book reveals the mathematical background of templates and shows interesting findings for improving the practical use of templates. First, a framework to determine the necessary computational power for the template metalanguage is presented. The template metalanguage does not need to be Turing-complete to be useful. A non-Turing-complete metalanguage enforces separation of concerns between the view and model. Second, syntactical correctness of all languages of the templates and generated code is ensured. This includes the syntactical correctness of the template metalanguage and the output language. Third, case studies show that the achieved goals are applicable in practice. It is even shown that syntactical correctness helps to prevent cross-site scripting attacks in web applications. The target audience of this book is twofold. The first group exists of researcher interested in the mathematical background of templates. The second group exists of users of templates. This includes designers of template engines on one side and programmers and web designers using templates on the other side
by J.F. Broenink, Communicating Process Architectures 2005 Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Communicating Process Architectures 2005 books, The awareness of the ideas characterized by Communicating Processes Architecture and their adoption by industry beyond their traditional base in safety-critical systems and security is growing. The complexity of modern computing systems has become so great that no one person – maybe not even a small team – can understand all aspects and all interactions. The only hope of making such systems work is to ensure that all components are correct by design and that the components can be combined to achieve scalability. A crucial property is that the cost of making a change to a system depends linearly on the size of that change – not on the size of the system being changed. Of course, this must be true whether that change is a matter of maintenance (e.g. to take advantage of upcoming multiprocessor hardware) or the addition of new functionality. One key is that system composition (and disassembly) introduces no surprises. A component must behave consistently, no matter the context in which it is used – which means that component interfaces must be explicit, published and free from hidden side-effect. This publication offers strongly refereed high-quality papers covering many differing aspects: system design and implementation (for both hardware and software), tools (concurrent programming languages, libraries and run-time kernels), formal methods and applications.

by Julian Templeman, Introduction To C Templates Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Introduction To C Templates books, "Templates are a fundamental feature of modern C++ programming. Designed for the beginner to intermediate level C++ programmer, this course explains why templates are important and how to use them. Expert programmer, Julian Templeman, starts with a description of the concept behind templates and shows you how they solve the problem of writing functions and classes that differ only in their parameter types. He then demonstrates how you use template functions to create functions that will work with a variety of parameter types and how to use them in code. Then, he shows you how to create and use template classes, parameterized types that are commonly used for containers such as vector and list. The course finishes off with a discussion of how the compiler processes templates and what this means in terms of how code is compiled and linked."--Resource description page.
by Scott Meyers, Effective C Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Effective C books, “Every C++ professional needs a copy of Effective C++. It is an absolute must-read for anyone thinking of doing serious C++ development. If you’ve never read Effective C++ and you think you know everything about C++, think again.” — Steve Schirripa, Software Engineer, Google “C++ and the C++ community have grown up in the last fifteen years, and the third edition of Effective C++ reflects this. The clear and precise style of the book is evidence of Scott’s deep insight and distinctive ability to impart knowledge.” — Gerhard Kreuzer, Research and Development Engineer, Siemens AG The first two editions of Effective C++ were embraced by hundreds of thousands of programmers worldwide. The reason is clear: Scott Meyers’ practical approach to C++ describes the rules of thumb used by the experts — the things they almost always do or almost always avoid doing — to produce clear, correct, efficient code. The book is organized around 55 specific guidelines, each of which describes a way to write better C++. Each is backed by concrete examples. For this third edition, more than half the content is new, including added chapters on managing resources and using templates. Topics from the second edition have been extensively revised to reflect modern design considerations, including exceptions, design patterns, and multithreading. Important features of Effective C++ include: Expert guidance on the design of effective classes, functions, templates, and inheritance hierarchies. Applications of new “TR1” standard library functionality, along with comparisons to existing standard library components. Insights into differences between C++ and other languages (e.g., Java, C#, C) that help developers from those languages assimilate “the C++ way” of doing things.
